Dartmouth-Hitchcock Workforce Readiness Institute is looking for motivated individuals for the Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program.</div><div><br></div><div>Candidates will apply for their respective geographic locations and be selected and hired by Dartmouth Health to become Medical Assistants working in our&nbsp;<strong>Lebanon area clinics</strong>&nbsp;(Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Alice Peck Day, Mt. Ascutney and New London Hospital),&nbsp;<strong>Community Group Practice divisions</strong>&nbsp;(Manchester, Nashua, Concord), or&nbsp;<strong>Keene (Cheshire Medical Center)</strong>. During the 11-week training period, participants will earn college credits and an hourly training wage. At the end of the 11-week training individuals will sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam prior to beginning a 2000 apprenticeship.</div><div><br></div><div>This full-time, hands-on training program includes both classroom and clinical training. Classes offered during the program include: Introduction to Anatomy &amp; Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Clinical Medical Assisting with Lab, and Healthcare Communications.</div><div><br></div>

<div>The Assistant Teacher shares responsibility for the overall health and safety of the infants and toddlers/preschoolers in the program.&nbsp;She/he works as a member of the classroom team in forming trusting relationships with the children, and general classroom function.&nbsp;His/her schedule is developed on a daily/weekly basis to provide classroom coverage as needed.</div><p data-name='heading'><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Assisting Teachers in preparing lessons, set up materials and school equipment</li><li>Providing a healthy and safe learning environment for the children</li><li>Helping teachers manage children's behaviors</li><li>Welcome and support families, while promoting family engagement with their child's development</li><li>Attend monthly staff meetings</li><li>Continue professional growth through ECE trainings and education</li></ul><p data-name='heading'><b>Skills</b></p><ul><li>Nurturing and team player attitude</li><li>Be able to kneel at children's eye level</li><li>Lift infants, toddlers and preschool age children during the event of an emergency</li><li>Communication </li><li>Flexible </li></ul><div> </div><p data-name='heading'><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or Equivalent </li><li>CPR &amp; First Aid Certified or commitment to become certified upon hiring </li></ul><p data-name='heading'><b>Security Clearance Requirements</b></p><p>Background Record Check for Childcare Licensing Regulations. </p>
