About the Unit The Grand Rapids Hospitals CT team supports Butterworth Hospital, Blodgett Hospital and Lemmen Holton Cancer Center. This team of over 50 CT techs staffs both hospitals 24/7/365 and Lemmen Holton during weekday business hours. Part- and full-time team members are hired for a specific location and do not flex aside from call coverage. Resource team members are hired to flex across all 3 locations as available shifts allow. There are 9 scanners between those 3 locations- most are Siemens with a couple GE machines across those sites. Scope of work CT Technologist provides healthcare services, applying computed tomography (CT) imaging and all related duties to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs CT procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care and recognized patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Acts as a role model for comprehensive care, addressing the physiological, and socio-cultural needs of patients and their families and acts as a resource to other radiology employees in managing complex issues. Assures equipment is present and accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift. <div>The Apprentice progresses through the accomplishment of work processes and related training as required per USDOL Standards of Apprenticeship Program and 14 CFR Part 65.77</div><div> </div><div><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></div><div> Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</div><ol><li>Assist licensed mechanics in inspections, documenting inspections and repairs, performing scheduled maintenance, and running tests after making repairs or performing maintenance.</li><li>Maintain records of work experience and training received on the job and in related instruction as required.</li><li>Develop and practice safe working habits and work in such a manner as to assure his/her personal safety and that of fellow workers.</li><li>Read and interpret maintenance instructions, such as AMMs, SRMs, WDMs, IPCs, EAs, routine task cards, etc., as applicable.</li><li>Assist licensed mechanics in troubleshooting and repairing discrepancies as necessary, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with approved maintenance data.</li><li>Ensure that all work is performed and documented in accordance with Kalitta Air and FAA requirements.</li><li>Ensure that discrepancies identified during the performance of a maintenance task are documented.</li><li>Follow all Kalitta Air policies, procedures, FAA policies, procedures, and Standards of Apprenticeship.</li><li>Follow all Kalitta Air safety rules and procedures. Ensure that any identified safety-related deficiencies are brought to the company's attention.</li><li>Keep a neat and clean work area at all times.</li></ol>
