Conduct site surveys; figure out the general scope of jobs ahead of their installation date, by walking the site to gather relevant information about the installation process, as well as piloting a drone to gather all roof/other details Perform service calls; troubleshoot & diagnose power & communication issues with a variety of systems, including SolarEdge, Enphase, Sol-Ark, Tesla & others. These issues often require technicians to do work on roofs. Removal/Reinstalls: This category of work, handled by our Service Teams, looks remarkably similar to what our Installation Crews do daily. All our service techs are trained installers, for this reason. Applicant Qualities: **The ability to work on a roof Needs to be comfortable working outdoors year-round, in a variety of weather conditions. The ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 60 lbs Excellent critical thinking & problem-solving skills Strong communication skills and experience talking with customers Works well in a team environment Prior Solar &/or electrical-related experience is preferred Tech-savvy enough to navigate various apps, as needed, for system commissioning & problem-solving Drone experience is a PLUS, but not necessary upon application Expectations of the Role: There is often 2-6 hours of (PAID) drive time, daily It is expected that the person who fills this position will obtain their FAA Part 107 drone license, as well as register w/ the State of Michigan as an electrical apprentice, under the guidance of Michigan Solar Solutions, within the first 6 months of employment, pending these qualifications have not already been met.
