Job Description: Maintains supply and discharge piping systems by opening clogged building and systems piping and replaces diaphragms Team Lead for three or more employees. Mentor and train lower level technicians. Coordinates materials and supplies for larger projects Coordinates paperwork and process for scheduled work outages Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on faucets, sinks, traps, commodes, urinals, and flush valves Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on gas, vacuum, air, chilled, steam, and hot water lines Detects the location of gas leaks and repairs accordingly Installs and maintains sump pumps Repairs and changes out air compressors, booster pumps, and vacuum pumps Repairs and replaces plumbing fixtures including backflow preventers Installs, maintains, repairs, and replaces sanitary and storm sewer lines, including rod sewer lines Cleans and maintains shop and personal plumbing equipment and personal protective equipment Provides support to other trades and contractors Installs and repairs plumbing for laboratories and classrooms including safety showers, drinking fountains, deionized water, water heaters, point of use water filters, domestic, and reverse osmosis systems, pools, and waterfall fountains.
